MY FIRST OFFSHORE SEMI SUBMERSIBLE VIST

It's amazing, it was my first visit to an offshore rig, i had been roaming on 35 onshore rigs in Abu Dhabi before, in NDC (National Drilling Company) bit this time it was for Pride International on a rig called Pride North America which is considered to be the third largest semi submersible rig in the world, and which works now in the Mediterranean sea 35 km away from Alexandria shore, the view was amazing , the accommodation was very beautiful and the safety culture was really perfect, i enjoyed the climate, and the board, i had the chance to meet one of the eye witnesses of PIPER ALPHA accident that happened in North sea in July 1988 and i had an interview with him about the accident it was really a great moment to find some one still alive after this horrible accident, after all i really loved the offshore. The only panicing experience was the helicopter trip while travelling to the site, as it was my second time after 17 years to take a helicopter, first time wa in 1988 and i was only 15 then, but on going back from the site to the airport it was ok, one of the things i liked also was the luxary the rig was full of, everything was clean and neat, peple was very respectable and very committed to safety issues, team building was amazing, and we made a safety drill which showed the awarness of the rig crew toward safety.

THESE TWO PICTURES ARE FOR THE RIG NAMED PNA,

I really loved this experience...
